How to convert a Monzo bank statement PDF

A Monzo statement uses a fixed account template that is easy to read but not always convenient for data work. A bank statement converter can structure cash movements, credit entries, and other activity for reconciliation or loan documentation.

  1. Go to financefileconverter.com and open the bank statement converter.

  2. Choose the output format that fits the next step in your workflow.

    • Convert PDF to Excel: Use this to Excel option for spreadsheet review, formulas, filtering, and reconciliation work.

    • Convert PDF to CSV: Use this to CSV option for structured transaction data, accounting imports, and data cleanup.

    • Convert PDF to Tally: Use this to Tally option for workflows that require statement transaction data in Tally.

    • Convert PDF to QBO: Use this for supported QuickBooks bank transaction import workflows.

    • Convert PDF to OFX: Use this for accounting or personal finance software that accepts OFX transaction files.

  3. Upload the authorized Monzo statement PDF. If it is password protected, enter the authorized password when prompted.

  4. Run the converter and allow it to read the dates, descriptions, debits, credits, and balances into the selected format.

  5. Download the converted Monzo file and review the entries before an accounting import or reconciliation.

How to view a password protected Monzo bank statement PDF

If a Monzo statement is password protected, enter the authorized PDF password to unlock it. A normal app login is not the same as a password on the downloaded PDF. Monzo does not publicly list a standard password format for regular statements. For some closed-account statements sent separately, Monzo provides the password through an official message, so use that instruction before conversion.

Monzo bank statement release date

Monzo lets customers create a statement for selected dates, so there is not one universal monthly release date for every requested PDF. For customers asking when does a Monzo bank statement come out or when will it be available, the statement can be generated in the Monzo app after the required transactions have posted. Monzo Business auto-exports, when enabled on an eligible plan, can place the previous month statement in connected storage on the first day of the next month.

Can I request a bank statement early? A date-range statement can cover activity through the latest posted date, but it cannot include future or pending transactions as completed entries. Select the dates available in the app or Monzo Business web.

What does a Monzo bank statement look like

The Monzo sample provides one account statement template, but the selected dates, account type, and export format can change the presentation.

  • Logo and account identity: The sample may show the Monzo logo, the account holder, a masked account number, an address when included, and the font used for headings and tables.

  • Statement period and balances: Look for the statement month, start and end dates, opening balance, closing balance, and any cash deposits or withdrawals.

  • Transaction table: Rows can show dates, descriptions, debits, credit entries, fees, loan payments, and running balances. Abbreviations or codes do not always mean the same thing across products, so use the wording shown on the statement.

  • Review checks: Find the account ending, page number, and totals, then compare the downloaded PDF with account activity before reconciliation. The template can look different online or by account type.

  • Product-specific details: Monzo statements may group account information, totals, and transaction rows differently from the app transaction feed.
